Giuseppina
Pizzolato offers private lessons and catered
dinners for small groups in her kitchen at the family
vineyard Falisca II, located in Chianti Val d'Elsa
just southwest of Florence (easy arrival by
train), or at your location anywhere from
Florence to the Sienese Hills. Choose among classes,
dinners, vineyard tours and wine tasting
offered by her brothers Stefano and Antonello.
Larger groups can arrange for a luxury dinner and
wine tasting combined, or even a Cena Mediovale
(Medieval Dinner).
Prices
below are per person. A 50% non-refundable
fee is due at the time of the confirmation
of the reservation.
The remaining balance has to be paid
a week before the date of service.
You can cancel up to a week before but
you will be charged an additional fee
of 20 % of the remainig balance.
If you cancel less than a week before
the event, you will be charged 100%
of the remaining cost.
You can change the date upon request
and availability of Giuseppina and if
the number of people decreses in the
last week, the fee will always be the
same as reserved.

Experience authentic
Tuscan Cuisine at Falisca II
Trains
travel regularly between Florence and
Certaldo. A taxi will bring you to Falisca
II (10 mins away). Your transportation
will be provided back to the train station
after the lesson, or to the Funiculare
that runs to Certaldo Alto (a pristine
medieval hilltown) for additional sightseeing
with local artisans and spectacular vistas.
Reverse the order for dinner in the
evening (complete assistance including
train schedules and driving instructions
provided on booking).
Meet
at local cafe for coffee and a breakfast
snack. Visit fresh market, bakery and
butcher to select meal ingredients.
Return to Falisca for a light lunch,
followed by lesson and preparation of
antipasti, first, second courses and
dessert. Includes wine.
Includes
tour of vineyard and an explanation
and demonstration of the wine making
process, wine tasting. Grape picking
is followed by a buffet reward.

in the olive harvest, demonstration
both for manual and mechanized harvest,
normal and cold-pressing, visit to frantoio,
or olive processing plant.

Accompany Luigi, Giuseppina's husband, and Dino the King of the Truffle dog, if there are truffle to be had, he'll find them! Wine & antipasto no matter what the truffle take.
